How These Spring Tension Rods Work:

Inside the hollow tube or the curtain rod is a spring that is always under pressure. When you first get your spring tension rod, it’s at its narrowest width.

To open the rod wider, simply unscrew the rod by turning it counter clockwise. After you open the rod wide enough for to reach the inside of the space you where you want to fit place the rod, open it a little but wider. Then squeeze the rod inside the space where you want to place the rod and let the pressure of the spring old it in place.

If you don’t get it quite right, either lengthen the rod or shorten it to the width that get’s the rod to fit tight.
