Garage Flooring-Cheapest & Easiest DIY Vinyl Tile

Wholesale Floor Tiles

There are probably dozens (if not hundreds) of garage flooring options.  For homeowners looking for a low-priced, nice-looking and beautiful solution to cover their cement floor in a garage or basement, we have a product you can install yourself in a matter of hours.

Low-Priced Garage Floor Tile Stands Up to the Weight of a Car, Looks Great and Easy to Install (Perfect for Basements too).

We began carrying a certain line of self-adhesive inexpensive vinyl floor tile back in 2002 and serving it to our retail accounts like hardware stores and home furnishings businesses. Although that tile was not recommended for commercial use, we decided to tile our wholesale showroom, an office and even a couple areas of the warehouse, break room and bathroom area.  The tile held up extremely well-exceeding all expectations.

Can I Use Your Vinyl Peel & Stick Tile on My Garage Floor? (See our patterns here)

Inquiries about using our self-adhesive flooring tiles began pouring in.  We knew our tile outperformed its warranty and all expectations for a discount flooring product from our success in selling the product and by using it but would it stand up for use in a garage?  Most people were particularly interested in installing a black and white checkerboard pattern tile.  I decided I needed to be able to tell my customers with certainty if the tile would work in their garage. I had personally never installed tile (I’m not at all a handyman). But I cleaned out the garage, hired a guy with a video camera and recorded the installation.  That was in April, 2011.

I completed the installation in a 1-car garage within the same day and as of this writing (May 2015) the floor is now 4 years old, looks great and every tile is still firmly in place.

Inspired by the outcome, we decided it was necessary to create a self-adhesive flooring product good enough to park cars on but still cheap enough to sell for about $1.00 per square foot.  We have done just that and now we have a line of self-stick vinyl tile which is beautiful, tough and super-easy to install.

Considering a Surface for Your Garage Floor?

One of our customers called to ask some questions about our peel & stick garage floor tile a few weeks ago.  He, like many other discovered my “garage floor installation video” doing comparisons on a number of garage flooring options. In fact, he called about 4 times. On the last call (to place his order), he told me his main concern was not really the price. He’d visited all the websites, looked at all the reviews on garage floor tile he could find on the various products. “Ultimately”, he said, “the reviews on all the products on the market are mixed. There are pros and cons on every single type of flooring in all the price ranges…I figure I might as well go with the cheapest one.  And besides, you have the pattern I really want.”

Wholesale Prices on Flooring to the Public.

“Why is your tile so inexpensive in comparison to the other options?” was one of the first questions and one we get from customer inquiries continually.

First, we are in the wholesale business. This means we work on a low-price/high-volume pricing model.  Since 1986, the primary focus of our business has been service to retailers. The nature of our pricing philosophy mandates that we give our customers the lowest possible price in order for them to resell our products for a profit.  When we went online back in the year 2000, we posted our true wholesale prices to the world.  That’s how we did it then and that’s how we do it now.  Everyone gets the benefit of our wholesale pricing structure.

The biggest savings is in the cost of installation.

We definitely have the cheapest price of anything specifically marketed as “garage floor” or “basement floor” tile but the other great benefit is the money you’ll save in the installation.  You can do it yourself in a few hours in an afternoon or during a weekend. It’s so rewarding too.  When you’re done, that sense of pride hangs on indefinitely…as long as you own your floor.  Alternatively, it will only take a handyman or someone you may hire through Craigslist a few hours. You don’t need a flooring pro, just someone you can measure, cut and follow directions.

Self stick flooring installed in basement
This basement floor and stairs were expertly installed by a 62 year old retired female school teacher from Pennsylvania. Thanks for sharing, Linda. Great job!

This set of photos is sent in by Linda Wieben who lives somewhere out in the mountainous woods around the middle of Pennsylvania.  Linda, a 62-year old retired school teacher is a multi-talented repeat flooring customer of ours who loves to get her hands dirty.  Linda is an inspiration and a model for the human race.  I won’t get into it but she deserves the recognition.

Self-Stick Vinyl Flooring Installed on Cement Basement Floor By Senior Citizen (Female)

Linda shares her skills at installing our vinyl plank flooring on the stairs leading down to her basement which is destined to become a exercise room.  The stair nose seam is competently covered with a piece of brass stair nose molding. Stair nose molding hides the seam where 2 pieces of tile meet, holds them down on the curve of the stair nose and adds a bit of safety with a textured  tread.  Very nicely done.

Dark Wood Pattern, Medium Oak Simulated Wood Vinyl Flooring

Linda chose the Medium Oak pattern which is very rich looking and our darkest wood pattern in this line of peel & stick plank flooring.

We have lots of customers call to ask if we have photo samples of our flooring installed so they can visualize what the goods look like on a real floor.  Well, this is the real deal.  It’s home gym, packed with all the essentials and well appointed with a great looking floor.

It’s always great to have feedback from customers and we thank Linda deeply for her patronage, for sharing the photos of her fine work and especially for the things she does for others.  Thank you, Linda.  We love you.

Bulk Purchase Clear Contractor Trash Bags

The use of clear trash bags has been a hot topic in many areas of the country.  Numerous municipalities are requiring residents and workers to use clear trash bags instead of black so waste companies can see what is in the bags.  This makes it much easier to pick out the objects being thrown away that can actually be recycled.  While it may seem like a nuisance for people, clear trash bags are readily available for purchase.

At Mazer Wholesale, we carry a variety of heavy duty contractor trash bags, including clear bags.

These are the perfect trash bags for companies who are required to use clear bags.  The clear trash bags we carry are 3mil thick, and 42 gallons.  These bags are very high quality and incredibly durable.  When you buy these bags in bulk from a true wholesaler, we believe you will save a ton of money than buying from other retailers.  They come in boxes of 20 bags, and are sold by the pallet, which consists of 144 boxes.

Having a high-quality trash bag is important for people who work in restoration, roofing, landscaping, and other fields of work.  Especially when you use a lot of these bags, getting these bags at the best price is also important.  Our clear trash bags are made with a premium blend of plastic, making them very durable.  They are ideal for recycling purposes, storage, and for whenever municipalities require waste to be in clear bags.  Check them out today and see how much you can save by buying in bulk from a true wholesaler!

Installing Peel & Stick Tile Over Old Tile Floor

Wholesale Peel & Stick  Floor Tiles

This is a video contributed by a repeat customer.

People often ask us if they can lay our self-stick vinyl tile on top of their old linoleum or tile floor.

I always tell people that the manufacturer does not recommend it.  However, we have seen many successful installations.  Since Marty has done this before and he’s come back for more, this is the perfect case study.

Marty works in a manufacturing plant with several offices. He installed our black and white tile in a checkerboard pattern on top of 30-year old vinyl tile.

His company recently acquired 2 more offices in the same building and Marty was put to the task of installing new tile in these old restrooms too.

When placing the order on the phone, Marty was telling me how great his first experience was with our peel & stick tile. Then he offered to take video.

I said, “Marty, no one can help us sell tile better than our satisfied customers. If you will take video and share it with our future prospective customers, that would be fantastic!”

Marty does a great job showing and telling so….take it away, Marty! And thank you.

Garage Floor Tile Installation

Wholesale Floor Tiles

Thank you for sharing, Ruben B from the great state of Georgia.

Black and White Pattern Tile for Cement Garage Floor

Ruben called to ask how I think our tile would work out on his garage floor in Georgia.  He explained that his floor was in very good condition and that he was in preparations to making his new “Man Cave”.  I directed him to check out my video because I’d installed the tile in my garage a few years back on a floor which was much older and a little bit grimy with ground-in dirt and oil stains.

People always want to get information about the product but no one can tell the story like satisfied customers. Ruben placed the order and a few days later generously supplied us with these photos of his garage floor tile project in-progress.

In an email, Ruben described his experience with the installation and suggested a product called Henry’s Bond Enhancer (sold at most any major hardware store or flooring retailer).  The bond enhancer is not an adhesive but rather provides a chemical substrate which seals the porous concrete to establish a better bond between the adhesive-backed tile and the cement.  I have never used this product but I’ve had other customers who also recommend it.  It surely can’t hurt.

Ruben adds one more tip: “When making a man cave, do NOT show your wife the floor until AFTER you put all your stuff back in the room because if she sees it empty, she’s gonna have a whole mess of new ideas for your space.”

Thanks again for sharing, Ruben.  Please keep in touch and don’t forget to tell your friends where you got a great deal on a great floor!

Crank Powered Lantern – A Must Have Emergency Product

Posted on

Whenever you are in your home, driving, or doing something recreational, it is always important to be prepared for an emergency.  Anytime of the year, you could be stranded with no power in your home, whether it’s due to a malfunctioning power line, a lightning storm, or even hurricane season.  You could also be on a camping trip and need some light by your tent or when walking around the camp site.  A light source that doesn’t even require battery use may be just the item for you and your family.Crank Powered Lantern

Powered just by cranking the handle and giving you very bright light, this lantern is perfect for any emergency or outdoor adventure.

The crank powered lantern is a must have item for your home, car, or campsite.  It is powered just by cranking the handle, which is so easy even your children will be able to do it.  With twelve white LED bulbs, this lantern gives off plenty of light to see your surrounding area.  Candles can be very dangerous around the house, especially if you have young children.  It is also better to have outside than a flashlight, as this lantern does not run on batteries and will not die.

With about one minute of cranking, the lantern will power up for about twenty minutes before the lights begin to dim and it needs to be cranked more.  It also has three different levels of brightness, which can make the light last even longer.  It is light, durable, and easy to carry or hang with the handle.  This crank powered lantern is perfect for any emergency situation where you may not have batteries for flashlights or you do not want to use candles around the house.
